Hi!
I'm thinking about car for trackdays (no dragracing, no drifting) and got interesting proposal: lightweight Lupo Sport (with sport rollcage) + engine 1.8T from Octavia + transmission from Octavia + sport suspension (HighTech) + slick tires + manifold Turbo-XS + etc.
So I need to install all items to Lupo.
What do you think about such car? Is it problem that light Lupo has heavy engine in front? What about controllability?
Is there any successful Lupo 1.8T for track?
Thanks in advance!
you are not the first with that idea
look here http://www.lupotreff.de/forum/t/2377
there is a lot of stuff for you und good informations
but its in german
Hi!
We have some 1.8T Lupo's. For example Lupo9000 and Silberpfeil. Silberpfeil is one of the most popular 1.8T Lupo in germany. This combination was already build successful into many Lupo's. In germany are some company's which are primarily specialising on this engine projects.
You also need the rear axle from the Lupo GTI if you have a Lupo 6X, other breaks infront, for example the 280mm G60.
the controllability should be good, if you build everything matched and balanced.

Looney R (i guess he works for a company or have a company for such projects)--> http://www.lupotreff.de/lupo/4116

I"m in Russia, so I can't order installation 1.8T in Germany
I think it will be the first 1.8T Lupo in Russia. Our racers prefer Evo, STi.
Could anyone help me with any instructions about installation process? I want to help tuning company which will take this project. They have great experience with racing cars (EVO, Lada) but never try Lupo 1.8T
Best regards
Jes, I can
Athena, thanks!
What kind of drive mechanism is used in 1.8T installation into Lupo?
Engine 1,8t (AJQ, AUQ, AYP, BAM, APY, APX) I think you have no problem with the emission in Russia.
Transmission: on the 1,8T engine fits every kind of 4zyl 02a, 02j or 02m.
So you can search the best gear transmission ratio for your car. It is depended from your wheel sizes.
Engine mounts can be adapted to the mounts on your trim. It´s the best way to guarantee the stability of yoour car. When you use the 1,8T engine mounts, you have to cut the frame to get more space for.
We ended installation at 06/2011.

Thanx all for help!
The car was built for timeattack and circuit racing.
1. Could anyone suggest me suspension for my Lupo? Maybe Bilstein Lupo Cup or KW Variant 3 (or Clubsport)?
2. What type and manufacturer of differential lock is better for circuit racing?
3. I think about hp increase up to 250 hp. Now it's 189 hp. Is there any good reliable option (not just for couple races)?
Thanks in advance
